2024 Vin de Pays de Vaucluse Rouge “Le Pigeoulet”
Famille Brunier
The Brunier brothers, authors of many a legendary southern Rhône bottling, created the Pigeoulet to satisfy a demand for everyday drinking wine at a good price for even the most modest of occasions. The fruit—mostly Grenache, along with Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault—comes from two separate vineyards. One is a sandy, clayey parcel located just outside of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where scorching summer temperatures give plump ripeness and velvety texture. The other is a much cooler vineyard; harvest takes place two full weeks later. Planted at higher altitude on limestone at the base of Mont Ventoux, this plot contributes freshness and aromatics to the blend.
The Bruniers’ vast experience in crafting elegant reds in this southern climate is on full display in this bottling, providing us with a delicious table red that teems with northern Provence’s most irresistible qualities: succulent red and black fruit, a stony core, a hint of black olive, and garrigue. Made to be uncorked any day of the week, it is particularly well matched to Mediterranean flavors—think roast chicken or lamb, or an assortment of hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, olives, and the freshest pita you can find.

About The Producer
Famille Brunier
Vignobles Brunier embodies the ensemble of the holdings by the Brunier family. Brothers Frédéric and Daniel are the fourth generation of their family to farm the land of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They have worked hard to solidify the legacy left by their father, Henri, and their great-grandfather, Hippolyte. In 1986, the family complemented their portfolio, offering more affordable cuvées that showcase the diversity of terroirs within their holdings. The “Pigeoulet” and “Mégaphone” are fresh, rich in fruit and easy to appreciate young. The red Châteauneuf “Piedlong”, sourced from the Piélong lieu-dit, is a profoundly mineral wine that balances elegance and purity with the muscle that is found in this great appellation.

Trust the great winemakers, trust the great vineyards. Your wine merchant might even be trustworthy. In the long run, that vintage strip may be the least important guide to quality on your bottle of wine.—Kermit Lynch
Promo Code Terms
There are two types of promo codes
1) a code that gives you a percentage off your order
2) a code that gives you a dollar amount off your order
How do promo codes or coupon codes work?
When you place an order with a percentage coupon code, the discount only applies to discount eligible items. An eligible item typically is a product that does not already have a discount. Sampler packs that already have discounts applied to them do not count towards the minimum of 12 eligible items. In your shopping cart, you'll see percentage discounts next to each bottle.
When you place an order with a dollar amount code, the dollar amount is added to your discount. In your shopping cart, the dollar amount is subtracted from your total, and does not show next to each bottle.
