2023 Vin de Pays de Vaucluse Rouge “Le Pigeoulet”
Famille Brunier

Kermit with Daniel Brunier

Nicolas Brunier

Le Pigeoulet vines
As sacrilegious as it might be for a KLWM employee to admit, I’ll confess that the bottle from the Brunier family I find myself reaching for the most is not a Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Gigondas, but their Pigeoulet, from the humble Vaucluse appellation. If, like me, you prize suppleness and downright deliciousness right out of the gate from your Grenache blends, you can’t do much better than this joyous and elegant red from one of the southern Rhône’s most iconic families.
Beautifully perfumed and teeming with notes of black cherries, brambly fruit, and earth, it is redolent of the Vaucluse terroirs from which it originates. If the Bruniers’ regal and structured Châteauneufs are best suited to a nice tablecloth, low lights, and ribeye or slow-cooked leg of lamb, their bright and juicy Pigeoulet is perfect right out of the ice bucket at your next backyard barbecue.

About The Producer
Famille Brunier
Vignobles Brunier embodies the ensemble of the holdings by the Brunier family. Brothers Frédéric and Daniel are the fourth generation of their family to farm the land of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They have worked hard to solidify the legacy left by their father, Henri, and their great-grandfather, Hippolyte. In 1986, the family complemented their portfolio, offering more affordable cuvées that showcase the diversity of terroirs within their holdings. The “Pigeoulet” and “Mégaphone” are fresh, rich in fruit and easy to appreciate young. The red Châteauneuf “Piedlong”, sourced from the Piélong lieu-dit, is a profoundly mineral wine that balances elegance and purity with the muscle that is found in this great appellation.

Vintage Chart Mentality
Trust the great winemakers, trust the great vineyards. Your wine merchant might even be trustworthy. In the long run, that vintage strip may be the least important guide to quality on your bottle of wine.—Kermit Lynch
Promo Code Terms
There are two types of promo codes
1) a code that gives you a percentage off your order
2) a code that gives you a dollar amount off your order
How do promo codes or coupon codes work?
When you place an order with a percentage coupon code, the discount only applies to discount eligible items. An eligible item typically is a product that does not already have a discount. Sampler packs that already have discounts applied to them do not count towards the minimum of 12 eligible items. In your shopping cart, you'll see percentage discounts next to each bottle.
When you place an order with a dollar amount code, the dollar amount is added to your discount. In your shopping cart, the dollar amount is subtracted from your total, and does not show next to each bottle.
