2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru “Les Combes”
Domaine Larue
Les Combes has the opposite exposure from Les Cortons and faces the rising rather than the setting sun (think cooler terroir). Its lower elevation brings some initial charm and density on the palate, yet it finishes with a Chablis-like aftertaste: oyster-shell city! Pull the cork and bring on the mollusks!

2023 Bourgogne Rouge
France | Burgundy
From the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet, Larue’s Bourgogne rouge is all about notes of dark fruit and spice.

2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 1er Cru “La Boudriotte”
France | Burgundy
Larue’s home turf is Saint-Aubin, but with this Chassagne-Montrachet, the family shows how well it can steward neighboring terroirs too.

2022 Beaune 1er Cru “Les Montrevenots”
France | Burgundy
From the first taste in barrel, I immediately understood what Antoine wanted to accomplish stylistically, and the results were love at first taste.

France | Burgundy
Entry-level access to one of the masters of the Côte de Beaune.

2023 Chablis 1er Cru ”Butteaux”

There is no mistaking it—one taste and you are in Chablis territory: zesty minerality, wet stone, freshness and nervosity.

2019 Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru “La Riotte”

Old vines planted just after WWII, spicy and deep, rich and full.

Enter Bruno Colin’s pristine, sacrosanct cellar and you immediately sense that something precious, almost invaluable, dwells within those beautiful limestone walls.

2023 Saint-Aubin Rouge “Les Eduens”
France | Burgundy
This medium-bodied rouge, with notes of freshly crushed black cherries and cranberries filtered through stones, would be sublime alongside any kind of grilled or roasted chicken or turkey.

2021 Aloxe-Corton
France | Burgundy
The Follin family’s reds are some of the most delicious I have tasted, none more so than their incredibly vibrant and pure Aloxe-Corton.

2023 Saint-Aubin Rouge 1er Cru “Sur Le Sentier du Clou”
France | Burgundy
The high limestone content gives this Pinot plenty of spice and ripe cherry with great acidity and persistence.

About The Region
Burgundy
In eastern central France, Burgundy is nestled between the wine regions of Champagne to the north, the Jura to the east, the Loire to the west, and the Rhône to the south. This is the terroir par excellence for producing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The southeast-facing hillside between Dijon in the north and Maranges in the south is known as the Côte d’Or or “golden slope.” The Côte d’Or comprises two main sections, both composed of limestone and clay soils: the Côte de Nuits in the northern sector, and the Côte de Beaune in the south. Both areas produce magnificent whites and reds, although the Côte de Beaune produces more white wine and the Côte de Nuits more red.
Chablis is Burgundy’s northern outpost, known for its flinty and age-worthy Chardonnays planted in Kimmeridgian limestone on an ancient seabed. Vézelay is a smaller area south of Chablis with similar qualities, although the limestone there is not Kimmeridgian.
To the south of the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise extends from Chagny on its northern end, down past Chalon-sur-Saône and encompasses the appellations of Bouzeron in the north, followed by Rully, Mercurey, Givry, and Montagny.
Directly south of the Chalonnaise begins the Côte Mâconnais, which extends south past Mâcon to the hamlets of Fuissé, Vinzelles, Chaintré, and Saint-Véran. The Mâconnais is prime Chardonnay country and contains an incredible diversity of soils.

You don’t have to be rich to cellar a great wine.
