A Classic, Vibrant Vintage from Famille Savary

Certain wine estates are all about the story: centuries of family production, obscure heirloom grape varieties, perilous vertical vineyards, radical production methods... With Domaine Savary, forget the fluff and romantic backstory. Focus instead on what’s in your glass: delicious, vibrant, classic wines that place this among the most consistent, reliable Chablis to be found.
The domaine—born from the marriage of Francine and Olivier Savary, both of local vigneron families—found its feet thanks to the help of Chablisien legend Jean-Marie Raveneau, who later introduced Olivier to Kermit. Brothers Mathieu and Maxime represent the next generation at the domaine, having joined their parents in 2014. In addition to their textbook village-level Chablis, they produce a premier cru Fourchaume, an attractive old-vine cuvée that embodies both power and restraint, with ample fruit, zingy citrus, and a salivating finish that recalls the fossil-laden slope from which it hails. They also produce a crisp and lively Petit Chablis that has plenty of goût de terroir and pairs wonderfully with just about everything.
