2022 Maranges
Jean-Claude Regnaudot et Fils
This deeply structured Maranges from the southern edge of the Côte d’Or is full of robust fruit, earth, and a little spice. It's begging for a good boeuf bourguignon!

2017 Mazoyères Chambertin Grand Cru
France | Burgundy
More Morey-like than the Charmes, with more muscle and spice. The grandest and longest-aging wine in this collection.
2022 Saint-Romain Blanc
France | Burgundy
Full-bodied style, golden, old-school Chardonnay with a chalky base.
2023 Chablis 1er Cru “Vaillons”
France | Burgundy
A stunning value from one of Chablis’ oldest premier cru vineyards, with a lovely mouthful of stone fruit and hint of lemongrass.
2024 Chablis “Vieilles Vignes”
France | Burgundy
Old vines, partial barrel aging, and a stylish presentation topped with a yellow wax seal have made this cuvée a KLWM staff favorite for decades.
2023 Bourgogne Aligoté
France | Burgundy
His Aligoté associates the slicing acidity typical of the variety with the sheer class we have come to expect from a talented vigneron at the top of his game.
2018 Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru
France | Burgundy
A classic Charmes, sensual and graceful, with a deep core of concentration.
2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Blanc
France | Burgundy
Ever the racy and mineral cuvée, this is all silk and flesh, and a rare village treat from a producer of mainly premier and grand cru wines.
2023 Chablis 1er Cru “Beauroy”
France | Burgundy
The premier cru Beauroy is a round, ample expression of Chablis from a south-facing parcel. Silky and suave on the palate, it finishes with a whisper of salinity.
2023 Givry Rouge 1er Cru “Clos Jus”
France | Burgundy
This rouge will stop you in your tracks with its subtle kiss of oak, silky tannins, and notes of freshly crushed cherries.
2023 Santenay Rouge 1er Cru “Le Passetemps”
France | Burgundy
Truly great Burgundian Pinot “pops” with a bright, effusive, explosive character—this one does.

About The Region
Burgundy
In eastern central France, Burgundy is nestled between the wine regions of Champagne to the north, the Jura to the east, the Loire to the west, and the Rhône to the south. This is the terroir par excellence for producing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The southeast-facing hillside between Dijon in the north and Maranges in the south is known as the Côte d’Or or “golden slope.” The Côte d’Or comprises two main sections, both composed of limestone and clay soils: the Côte de Nuits in the northern sector, and the Côte de Beaune in the south. Both areas produce magnificent whites and reds, although the Côte de Beaune produces more white wine and the Côte de Nuits more red.
Chablis is Burgundy’s northern outpost, known for its flinty and age-worthy Chardonnays planted in Kimmeridgian limestone on an ancient seabed. Vézelay is a smaller area south of Chablis with similar qualities, although the limestone there is not Kimmeridgian.
To the south of the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise extends from Chagny on its northern end, down past Chalon-sur-Saône and encompasses the appellations of Bouzeron in the north, followed by Rully, Mercurey, Givry, and Montagny.
Directly south of the Chalonnaise begins the Côte Mâconnais, which extends south past Mâcon to the hamlets of Fuissé, Vinzelles, Chaintré, and Saint-Véran. The Mâconnais is prime Chardonnay country and contains an incredible diversity of soils.

Living wines have ups and downs just as people do, periods of glory and dog days, too. If wine did not remind me of real life, I would not care about it so much.
