The official release date of this year’s Nouveau is Thursday, November 20, and we plan to have the wine available for purchase on that date.
Here’s Chris Santini’s on-the-ground update from France on our two Nouveaux!
2025 Beaujolais Nouveau
Domaine Dupeuble France | Beaujolais
What will be in your glass this year, you ask? Well, I don’t want to spoil a tasty surprise, so let me just say it involves some freshly ground black pepper, a juicy bite of peach, an uplifting flurry of red fruit, and oh, that violet color! The 2025 vintage stylistically is bound to universally please. Joining us in the blending session with the Dupeuble family this year in mid-October was Steve Waters from the Berkeley retail shop. Give him a call to chat about the wine and reserve some for yourself.
2025 Beaujolais Nouveau
Domaine de la Cadette France | Beaujolais | Beaujolais Nouveau
If you need a reminder of why folks from Beaujolais tell us to “be young like a Beaujolais and age like a Burgundy,” crack open Cadette’s straight-from-the-cradle Nouveau. It is sourced from some pretty serious terroir up north in cru country, so it’s got guts, but it sure is kickin’, too, with loads of cherries and heaps of joy. It’s bound to keep you feeling fresh and Nouveau!
