Prosecco Superiore Brut
Italy | Veneto
You could be forgiven if, looking at the name of this wine, you deduced it to be some grand sparkler. It boasts as many regional descriptors and prepositions as a European duke. And when you look up the hills where it comes from—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—that assumption becomes even stronger. But despite how impressive its terroir is, this Prosecco is as populist, approachable, and fundamentally delicious a wine as you’ll find on our racks. It’s the kind of wine I keep on hand in case of impromptu visits from friends, potlucks, or backyard barbecues. Everyone loves it, and how could you not? I’ve never sipped from a stream running down from the Dolomitic Alps into the foothills of northeastern Italy, but I imagine it would taste as bracing, crisp, and pure as Sommariva’s Prosecco Superiore.
2024 Alsace Blanc
France | Alsace
It says something about Kuentz-Bas that the domaine excels in grand cru Rieslings and Muscats but is just as devoted to their regional cuvées. For the 2024 vintage, Jean-Baptiste and Laure Adam blend mostly Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc along with a little Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer in 100-year-old foudres, majestic and neutral vessels that amplify the wine’s complexity. Pair it with grilled brats, crab cakes, or some potato samosas on the patio.
2024 Custoza “Greoto”
Italy | Veneto
Corte Gardoni’s Custoza is among the most charming and versatile white wines in our portfolio. At the heart of this refreshing and generous blend is Garganega, arguably the quintessential white grape planted in the regions surrounding Verona. Boasting beautifully balanced notes of orchard fruit, citrus, and minerality, Greoto gives us endless pairing possibilities from aperitivo snacks to fish tacos.
2024 Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge
France | Southern Rhône
Our newest partner in the Rhône Valley, the wine co-op Les Vignerons d’Estézargues has, remarkably, pursued progressive farming and winemaking for much of its sixty-year history, working closely with its partner growers to emphasize organic viticulture before ushering the pristine fruit through low-intervention practices in the cellar. The utter deliciousness of this rouge and the class of its terroir make the price nearly unfathomable. Add to these qualities the lovely label designed by one of France’s great wine artists, Michel Tolmer, and you have a house red that charms on every front.
2024 Monferrato Rosso
Italy | Piedmont
The grapes in this red blend vary every year, but its character is always all about conviviality, refreshment, and the ability to pair well with all kinds of dishes, from the Italian classics to pulled-pork sandwiches, burgers, and burritos. The versatility is largely thanks to the starring role of Barbera, a grape known for its food-friendly acidity and irresistible bite. Evoking brambly fruit, blood orange, and herbs, this Monferrato rosso is a no-brainer for most occasions.
