2020 Condrieu
André PerretCondrieu is often overshadowed by the great red-wine AOCs of the northern Rhône, but year in and year out, André Perret crafts some of the great white wines of France. Made from Viognier planted along the Rhône’s dramatically steep hillsides, this blanc offers mesmerizing texture, density, and vibrant flavors of stone fruit, jasmine, tropical fruit, orange zest, and so much more. Pair it with roast chicken or your favorite grilled white fish for a transcendent experience.

2021 Saint-Joseph Rouge “Châtelet”
France | Northern Rhône
Hailing from a single vineyard high up on the hill above Saint-Désirat, at the middle point of the Saint-Joseph appellation, this cuvée dials up the fragrance and elegance of Monier-Pérreol’s Saint-Joseph.
2021 Saint-Joseph Rouge
France | Northern Rhône
From high-altitude slopes above the Rhône river, this Syrah exhibits remarkable purity and grace.
2021 Saint-Joseph Rouge
France
Saint-Josephs from André Perret’s northern part of the Rhône are typically more delicate and floral than their brethren further south around Mauves, the birthplace of the appellation.
2021 Saint Joseph Rouge “Les Ribaudes”
France | Northern Rhône
This beauty is brimming and bursting with deep dark flavors of black olive, blackberry and a hint of white pepper.
2020 Saint-Joseph Blanc
France | Northern Rhône
Like eating lemon curd at a party that Renoir might have painted—think something like Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette.
2021 Saint Joseph Blanc “Les Ribaudes”
France | Northern Rhône
Most of this blanc was aged in tank to preserve freshness, but the little bit that was aged in oak provides a glimmer of opulence.
2021 Condrieu
France | Northern Rhône
I would say that Faury does not make Viognier, but rather one hell of a Condrieu, replete with huge apricot and peach aromas and a fresh, regal palate.
2021 Saint Joseph Rouge “La Gloriette Vieilles Vignes”
France | Northern Rhône
Made from vines planted between 1937 and 1976, this cuvée showcases impressive depth and soul.
2021 Saint-Joseph Rouge “L’Instinct”
France | Northern Rhône
It is a real-deal northern Rhône roasted-slope Syrah that walks the tightrope perfectly between creamy fruit, meaty tannins, and fresh spine.
2020 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge
France | Northern Rhône
This small parcel has a fruit-forward, approachable style, yet with intense spice and licorice in there as well, perhaps from the deep-rooted old Syrah vines.

For the wines that I buy I insist that the winemaker leave them whole, intact. I go into the cellars now and select specific barrels or cuvées, and I request that they be bottled without stripping them with filters or other devices. This means that many of our wines will arrive with a smudge of sediment and will throw a more important deposit as time goes by, It also means the wine will taste better.
