2016 Condrieu “Clos Chanson”
André PerretAndré Perret farms some of the top sites in the Condrieu appellation—terroirs that bring out the absolute best in the Viognier grape. The Clos Chanson represents one of two single-vineyard bottlings he produces, from a steep, terraced parcel of rocky decomposing granite. This rich, opulent nectar will pamper your palate, coating it with fine, exotic flavors of candied citrus, lychee, and apricot. Few dry whites are as luxurious and satisfying.

February Club Gourmand ~ Made from vines planted between 1937 and 1976, this cuvée showcases impressive depth and soul.
2020 Crozes Hermitage “Tiercerolles”

This juicy, blueberry-and-leather-infused Syrah with a long finish is ready to drink tonight.
2020 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge
France | Northern Rhône
February Club Gourmand ~ This small parcel has a fruit-forward, approachable style, yet with intense spice and licorice in there as well, perhaps from the deep-rooted old Syrah vines.
2021 Condrieu
France | Northern Rhône
I would say that Faury does not make Viognier, but rather one hell of a Condrieu, replete with huge apricot and peach aromas and a fresh, regal palate.
2020 Ardèche Syrah “Syrah Mauve”
France | Northern Rhône
Young vines in Mauves, short maceration, stainless-steel aged... but definitely no simple Syrah!
2020 Côte-Rôtie “Fongeant”
France | Northern Rhône
This cuvée is sourced exclusively from the Fongeant lieu-dit, which sits right on the border of the Côte Blonde and Côte Brune, and is renowned for sharing the best of both.
2020 Saint Joseph Rouge “Vieilles Vignes”
France | Northern Rhône
Made from vines planted between 1937 and 1976, this cuvée showcases impressive depth and soul.
2020 Hermitage Rouge “La Pierrelle”
France | Northern Rhône
Elegance and restraint from one of the hill’s lesser-known terroirs.
2021 Saint-Joseph Rouge
France
Saint-Josephs from André Perret’s northern part of the Rhône are typically more delicate and floral than their brethren further south around Mauves, the birthplace of the appellation.
2018 Hermitage Blanc “La Pierrelle”
France | Northern Rhône
From vines that are more than eighty years old comes this Marsanne with magnificent floral, pit fruit, and bitter notes.

For the wines that I buy I insist that the winemaker leave them whole, intact. I go into the cellars now and select specific barrels or cuvées, and I request that they be bottled without stripping them with filters or other devices. This means that many of our wines will arrive with a smudge of sediment and will throw a more important deposit as time goes by, It also means the wine will taste better.
