I have two favorite seasons for drinking Alsatian wine: winter, when I crave root vegetables like sweet parsnip and spicy rutabaga, and this time of year, when the brightest flavors of spring produce abound—green onions, new potatoes, sugar snap peas, and fiddlehead ferns, to name a few. Precise, terroir-driven aromatics are Domaine Ostertag’s signature. Here are a few picks from the 2019 vintage whose spring-like scents will enhance a range of seasonal dishes.
